From the age of six, Kristiana has embraced the cello as an extension of her being. Her journey began with unwavering dedication and a commitment to perfecting her craft. Now, with more than 20 years of experience, Kristiana is passionate about performing and sharing her knowledge of cello playing.
With accolades that include multiple international awards, Kristiana has performed at renowned concert halls across Europe and North America, collaborated with esteemed orchestras, and shared the stage with celebrated artists across multiple musical genres. Each performance is a testament to her unwavering pursuit of artistic brilliance.
Kristiana grew up in Riga, Latvia and at age of sixteen moved to the United Kingdom. There she studied at the Purcell School of Music and obtained degrees with distinction from Royal College of Music, London in Bachelor of Music, Master of Performance and Artist Diploma.
She enjoys playing chamber music and regularly takes part in chamber music festivals across Europe and North America. Kristiana is a member of the Monarch Chamber Players. She is also currently teaching and performing in Houston, TX, as well as working with the Houston Grand Opera Orchestra and Mercury Chamber Orchestra.
